Objectives:

I can proofread my writing.

I can draft a paper using an outline I created.

Today’s Activities:

  • Bellwork: Journal
  • Today’s tasks.  Both of these are due on Monday 3/24!!
    • Final draft of persuasive letter – proofread & fix formatting
    • First draft of migration paper
  • Use your time today wisely.  You will only have access to the computers for ONE DAY in class.
    • 3rd period will have computers on Wednesday 3/19
    • 5th period will have computers on Friday 3/21
    • 7th period will have computers on Thursday 3/20

Assessment:

  • Teacher will check in with students as they work on drafting
  • Both papers will be collected on Monday 3/24

  • HOMEWORK:  Conduct an interview with a family member about how your family came to be in Chicago.
